The Local Problem
Rendered walls, western sun, and what gives out first
Parramatta's building stock has changed faster than almost anywhere in Sydney. Duplexes and townhouses have replaced a lot of the old fibro and brick-veneer, and nearly all of it lands on the same palette: rendered walls in off-white or mid-grey, dark aluminium windows, and a timber-look element somewhere on the entry to stop the whole thing reading as a concrete box.
That timber-look element is where the trouble starts. Spotted gum and merbau battens look right for about two summers here. Parramatta regularly runs past 40°C, and a west-facing entry wall takes that heat every afternoon from December through February, the oil flashes off, the boards check and cup, and by year three the owner is either back on a ladder with a tin of decking oil or living with grey, splitting battens on the most visible wall of the house.
Co-extruded WPC does the same visual job without the maintenance cycle. The wood fibre sits inside a sealed polymer cap, so UV, heat and rain never reach it. No oiling, no re-coating, no cupping, a hose-down once a year is the entire routine.

Will WPC cladding fade in western-Sydney heat?
No. The boards carry UV stabilisers and inorganic pigments under a co-extruded cap, which is what keeps them stable through the 40°C-plus runs Parramatta gets each summer. Timber battens in the same position grey and check within two or three years.
Do you supply builders and developers doing multiple Parramatta units?
