Composite Cladding Supply · Northern Beaches
WPC cladding supply, Northern Beaches.
Salt air is the whole argument here. The wood-fibre core sits fully sealed inside a co-extruded polymer cap, so airborne salt, splash and chlorine never reach it. $30 per 2.3m board, $37 per 2.7m Teak/Black board, inc GST, supply only. We don't install, but we can recommend trusted local trades.

The Coastal Problem
What salt air does to the alternatives
Anything within a couple of kilometres of the water on the Northern Beaches is in a corrosion zone, and cladding is usually where it shows first. Hardwood battens on a Freshwater or Collaroy elevation grey off within a season, then the salt works into the checking and the boards start cupping away from their fixings.
Steel and aluminium battens trade one problem for another. The extrusion itself may hold, but the fixings, cut ends and any coating damage become corrosion points, and rust streaks down a rendered wall are almost impossible to clean off properly.
Co-extruded WPC has no exposed core and nothing for salt to attack. The cap is wrapped 360° around the board during manufacture, so there's no cut-end weak spot and no coating to breach. It's the same reason the board holds up around pools, chlorine and constant splash are chemically no worse than what it takes on a headland.

Where It Goes
Pool walls, beach-house renos and everything facing the water
The single most common Northern Beaches order is a pool surround wall. Chlorine, splash and permanent damp are the exact conditions that finish off timber and attack steel fixings, and a capped board just shrugs them off, no swelling, no rot, no rust bleed onto the coping.
The second is renovation cladding on 1960s and 70s beach houses. There's a lot of tired brick and painted fibro from Dee Why up to Newport, and cladding the street-facing wall is a far cheaper way to modernise it than rendering and repainting on a cycle.
Third is screening: side passages, plant enclosures and outdoor showers, where the board takes constant damp and gets hosed down without any of it mattering.

Northern Beaches Cladding FAQ
Questions we get from Northern Beaches.
Will WPC cladding survive Northern Beaches salt air?
Yes, it's the main reason people specify it here. The wood-fibre core is sealed inside a co-extruded polymer cap wrapped 360° around the board, so there's no exposed core and no cut-end weak spot for salt to attack, and no coating to breach the way there is on steel or aluminium battens.
Is it safe to use around a chlorinated pool?
Yes. Chlorine, splash and constant damp don't reach the core through the cap. No swelling, no rot, and no rust bleeding down onto the coping from corroded fixings, which is the usual failure on steel-framed pool walls near the coast.
How much is WPC cladding on the Northern Beaches?
Supply only, inclusive of GST: $30 per 2.3m board in Charcoal Black or Smoke Grey, and $37 per 2.7m board in the Teak/Black combination. Delivery to the peninsula is quoted separately, or pick up free from our Silverwater warehouse.
Can I clad over old painted fibro or brick?
That's one of the most common uses we supply for on the Beaches, modernising a 1960s or 70s street elevation without the cost and repaint cycle of rendering. Your installer will confirm the substrate and battening; we supply the boards.
Do you install on the Northern Beaches?
No. Fencly is supply only. We supply the boards and can recommend trusted local installers working from Manly through to Palm Beach, ask for a referral when you enquire.
